Gujarat parent seeks fee waiver in SC
Plea of parents from states seeks SOP for online education, non-eviction of students for not paying feesA city-based parent along with parents from other states has filed a petition in the Supreme Court challenging the fees being charged by private schools for three months of lockdown and seeking the court’s directions for standard operating system (SOP) for online education.
The parents have sought not to allow schools to reopen until an effective remedy of the coronavirus is out, to put on hold online classes until a uniform SOP is determined by the court and to stop any attempt by schools to evict students on any ground, including non-payment of fees, until the outcome of the plea.
